PROFILE: The Leader & State Register circulates to Laurel, Seaford and southwestern Sussex County, a land of historic towns, farms and scenic natural areas. Seaford, the Nations' Nylon Capital thanks to the DuPont Co. plant there, is rapidly growing a diversified economy, based on its central geographic location and the navigable Nanticoke River. Even closer, though, are the Maryland towns of Cambridge (61 miles), Ocean City (44 miles) and Salisbury (16 miles), making Laurel and Seaford an easy place to do some tax-free shopping in Delaware.
